I work from photos so that the pose and expression of your pet in the finished work will be very close to the photo we start with. I can work from your photos or take new photos. I work in pastel, pencil, prisma color pencil and oil paint.

Please contact me for a quote on a portrait of your beloved pet.

Prisma Colored Pencil is usually done on white (or ivory) BFK Rives 100% cotton rag paper. Optional tinted Canson papers available.

All artwork is created to the size and media you desire.

Other special effects can be achieved such as a sepia tone look, color work from black and white photos, pencil and/or graphite on paper, ink, sepia ink and pencil. Also available, customized bstracted backgrounds in the oil paintings. The ideas and variations are limitless. Portrait possibilities available for every budget!

TIP: Dog portraits look best when the dog’s face is slightly larger or smaller than life size. Small dogs done too big or large breeds done too small can often lose a sense of breed type.

Here are a few examples of the very popular prisma colored portraits.

Oil paintings are done on stretched canvas in a wide variety of sizes with high quality Rembrandt oil colors.

Pastel can be done on BFKRives or tinted Canson papers, is a soft chalky pigment, has a different look than the prisma pencil.

11” x 14” up to 22” x 30”
